Research interests

Danielle Julien’s research focuses on family functioning among gays and lesbians, as well as their children and parents. Her team is currently working on research that examines the development of gender identity, the psychosocial development of children of lesbian mothers, family dynamics of lesbian-headed families and parenting in lesbian step-families, and the development of parental identity among gay fathers.
