Our Objectives

1. To examine the issues, challenges and realities facing people and communities including quality of life, physical and mental health across the lifespan with a particular emphasis on:

  • The impact of “coming out” on various health processes and outcomes.
  • The modalities of multiple oppressions in peoples’ experiences and their impact on health.

2. To examine health and social services and organizational programs and practices.

3. To build an infrastructure based upon knowledge exchange between universities, academic disciplines and communities that has a positive impact upon health and social services, health and well-being, research capacity building and social change in Canada.
